1) If you could visit any place at any time period, where would you go and what would you do?

We’re just visiting right? I mean I don’t have to stay there? Okay with the caveat of I can get back to beautiful, important things like electricity and tv and the internet and Starbucks (oh and my husband), then I would really like to go to Philadelphia during the Revolutionary War. I’d just like the chance to sit in on the Continental Congress and see what these ‘giants’ of history were really like and whether we’re anywhere close to what they thought when they were trying to create their democracy.

1) If you could visit any place at any time period, where would you go and what would you do?

I would go to North East England in 1960 and I’d watch the ships on the river Tyne. They brought and took coal to and from the collieries that are now closed. That river was a life force during those years.

1) If you could visit any place at any time period, where would you go and what would you do?

If I could choose a time and place in history to live in, it’d be Britain in the 19th century. It’s a period and setting I fell in love with through literature and films- all those Brontë sisters’ and Jane Austen’s novels, I guess; and let’s not forget those wonderful BBC miniseries. Now, what would I do there? I’m not a party person, but I’d really like to don a dress sewn in those days and maybe attend a soirée or a ball, be swept off my feet by some gallant and cultured gentleman. What can I say? I’m a hopeless romantic at heart and, if there’s something I miss in the world we live in today is that absence of romanticism and chivalry of those times. Where have real men gone?

1) If you could visit any place at any time period, where would you go and what would you do?

Seeing as it’s just for a visit, I’d love to go back to the Regency period here in England. I love the whole Jane Austen thing, and would love the chance to put on a fancy dress and go to one of those big important balls, find me a rich husband of the Mr. Darcy type. Of course, I wouldn’t last long back in those days, because the withdrawal I would get from no TV, DVDs, computer, and internet connection would be horrific!
