In 2004, me and Warunee (co-founder and former co-admin of NS) decided to host a little award show for the members of NS Forums. We had such an awesome community, and it was (and still is today) with their help that we managed to make NS what it is. So me and Warunee decided to give something back to the community, by creating an award show just for them.

This award show was all for the users, so the members of NS Forums nominated and voted for each other in different categories. There were plenty of categories to choose from:

Miss/Mr Bitch
Miss/Mr Sunshine
Miss/Mr Shrink
Miss/Mr Clown
Miss/Mr Candybar
Miss/Mr Naughty
Miss/Mr Entertainer
Miss/Mr Innocent – Or?
Miss/Mr Crazy

Miss/Mr Creative

The Spotlight Party 2005 Screenshot

The first show was first launched on April 19th 2004 and was a huge success. We asked our members if they wanted a follow-up show, and 60 people out of 62 said Yes, we want Spotlight Party 2005! And so it was. We launched The Spotlight Party 2005 on June 22nd (2005) and it too was a big hit with our members. We had a change in the layout (of course, because we were layout-freaks), but the content was pretty much the same. In the 2005 version there were some changes in the categories, as the members themselves could suggest categories for users to be nominated in. You can still view the actual sites online, as they’ve been archived on our server.
